'Helping Your Anxious Child' Our pick for January reading...

Welcome to the new year! We have lots of new books in our Leap for Kids Store to share with you over the coming months.

January is a time of self-reflection and new commitments to ourselves and to the people around us. This month I have a book for parents who are wanting a 'step-by-step guide' for helping their anxious child. I often speak with parents who struggle to know how, when and how much to 'step in'. They want to know whether they should or shouldn't expose their child to challenging situations. They want to give their children good advice for managing social situations. They want to encourage positive thinking and positive behaviours. They want evidence-based strategies to support their child to manage anxiety and to flourish.

'Helping Your Anxious Child' is a guide to help parents help their child. It is an engaging book offering extensive strategies to teach children to manage fears, phobias, separation anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety and obsessions.
